It all started one Sunday afternoon on a drive for ice cream with the family. As we traveled from one side of town to the other, I asked my 5-year-old son, “what’s so different about the families that live in the homes that we passed through to get to our destination”? His answer was, “nothing”! The truth is that, if we were to knock on every door that we passed, every person that answered would want the following: clean parks, streets, ice cream shops, technologically advanced schools, diversely stocked grocery stores, and fitness centers, etc.
If we can create positive changes within the communities that we live in, then we will have citizens in those communities who are stronger! With the right plan, we can change the trajectory of communities by empowering its citizens with educational resources, financial literacy, healthy living options, and career/professional skills.
Community Reform Project believes that “If we can meet people where they are, we can take a community to where it needs to go! We must ask ourselves, “Is it possible to create reform in communities that have been overlooked for decades?” The answer is yes!!
